Sort of!! Out front of Union Station there is a van at the corner of Wynkoop & 17th St, that will hold your luggage. I know it sounds odd but it’s totally legit and it lets you walk around (if you have time to kill) without your bag. Sorry I didn’t catch the name on the van (something like Luggage Locker?) This was a Thursday morning when I noticed it, so I’m assuming they are there during normal hours? Denver Lockers I think you’ll have more success retrieving your things if you just stay on top of the facility manager. You might even offer a small ‘finders fee’ (don’t leave money with the facility – offer to pay when you get the items back). I can’t imagine why the auction winner would want to keep personal items like paperwork and photos, but I can see why they’d feel uncomfortable at the thought of meeting you. I’d make it clear that you would just like your personal effects back and don’t want/need to interact with the auction winner. Denver Lockers The storage lockers were a “pilot,” the kind of small test that city government frequently uses to test a new or controversial idea. The city offered up the lockers for individuals to use for months-long stretches. At the time, city officials warned that “misuse of the lockers, vandalism, or other unanticipated results,” could force them to cancel the project.
Once we do that, we can work on getting them off the street.Sorry Reverend Herships, but you are nothing more than an enabler. Initiative 300 does nothing to assist in getting these people off the streets, clean, mental health, employed, skilled....or anything.Perhaps you come from a place where everyone defecates in the streets and leaves dirty needles. Perhaps that does not bother you because you have very low sanitary standards or you enjoy the aroma of human feces as you walk down the sidewalk.Either way, I hope the people of Denver are not so stupid as to pass this ridiculous initiative.
